Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2
What you actually do
The “employee” framing is more than flavor text. Steel Wool and the official store descriptions break the experience into short, hands-on assignments. Backstage, you help Roxanne Wolf and S.T.A.F.F. Bots get ready for a performance in the Pizzaplex Salon. In the Fazcade, Bonk-a-Bon and Fazerblast turn the arcade into score-chasing tasks. The Staff Only work is less glamorous: deliver first aid, then perform routine animatronic diagnostics and maintenance.
There is also a deliberately absurd service shift. Food Prep asks you to prepare food quickly enough to feed hungry bots. At the Ticket Booth, Captain Foxy’s Cowboy Adventure is an E-ticket attraction framed as a lighthearted Old West log ride. Finally, the Sister Location section contains VR versions of classic Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location experiences. These are the specific activities the official listings name; expect a menu of themed jobs and minigames rather than an unverified promise of open-world Pizzaplex exploration. Steel Wool’s overview establishes the employee role, while the Steam listing and Meta listing spell out the activity mix.
Choose the edition that matches your hardware
- Quest standalone: Meta’s listing supports Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S and Quest Pro. This is the native-headset purchase: the game runs on the headset, so no gaming PC or SteamVR installation is needed. Check that your headset is one of those models before buying; the listing does not establish support for every Meta device.
- Windows PCVR / SteamVR: Steam marks the game “VR Supported” and requires a 64-bit Windows 10/11 computer. Its minimum lists an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel i5-8400, 16 GB RAM, a GTX 1070 8 GB or RX Vega 56 8 GB, and 8 GB available storage. Steam names Valve Index and Meta Quest 2/3/Pro through SteamVR, and strongly recommends a Quest Link Cable for the optimal Quest experience. That is a PC-running-the-game purchase, not native Quest software; confirm your USB/Link or other supported PCVR connection before checkout.
- PS5 + PS VR2: PlayStation lists the edition for PS5 and says PlayStation VR2 is required for its VR features. The store describes roomscale play and a minimum 2 m × 2 m (6 ft 7 in × 6 ft 7 in) play area. A PS5 alone is therefore not the same thing as owning the VR setup.
- Switch and Xbox Series X|S: Steel Wool separately announced releases for Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S. The four platform sources linked here do not describe those editions as VR versions, so do not buy either console edition expecting headset play. They are console editions, not a substitute for Quest, SteamVR or PS VR2.
Buying and setup checks
Start with the hardware path, then the store: Quest owners should use the Meta listing; a Windows headset connected to a computer belongs on Steam; PS5 owners who want the VR mode need PS VR2 as well. For PCVR, compare your entire PC against Steam’s minimum rather than assuming a headset alone is enough, leave the stated storage available, and plan room for a clear play area. For PS VR2 roomscale, measure the 2 m × 2 m space before purchase. Meta lists the Quest version as single-user, roomscale and not requiring an internet connection; Steam lists single-player. Those labels describe the store versions, not cross-buy or cross-save rights, so verify the exact storefront and edition you intend to own.
