Editorial Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
VRHow aims to make technical information understandable and traceable. This policy describes the standards the site intends to follow; it is not a claim that every page has undergone a formal independent review or physical test.
Research and source selection
For product specifications, supported features, system requirements, setup instructions, and compatibility rules, VRHow prefers the relevant manufacturer's, platform's, or developer's current documentation when it is available. Official store listings, standards, regulatory filings, and other reliable sources may help fill gaps or explain context. A page should link to the sources that support important technical claims where practical.
When sources differ or a claim cannot be confirmed, the writing should describe the uncertainty rather than silently choose a convenient number. Sources can change, move, or become outdated; a citation is a path for readers to check a claim, not a guarantee that the source will remain available.
How claims are described
- Sourced facts should be tied to the stated source and kept within what that source says.
- Estimates, compatibility judgments, and recommendations should be described as estimates or judgments, not as measured outcomes.
- Opinions should be recognizable as editorial interpretation rather than manufacturer fact.
- Simulations and interactive visualizations should be identified as explanatory models when they do not represent measurements from physical hardware.
Testing and hands-on descriptions
VRHow does not represent every guide or comparison as independently tested. A hands-on statement should be used only when the specific item was actually operated in the described conditions; otherwise, pages should make clear that they are based on documentation, specifications, or other named evidence. Interactive labs are demonstrations and should not be described as hardware benchmarks unless an actual measurement method is documented.
Corrections and updates
Readers can report an error, changed requirement, broken source, or unclear explanation through contact@vrhow.com. Include the page URL, the statement in question, and a current source if available. When a change is verified, the relevant page may be corrected or clarified. VRHow does not promise a fixed review interval for every page; date-sensitive information should be checked against current documentation before it is relied on.
Commercial interests
Any future affiliate link or other material commercial relationship should be disclosed clearly near the relevant content and on the Affiliate Disclosure page. The inspected repository does not establish an active affiliate program. Commercial arrangements should not be presented as independent testing or as a reason to omit material limitations.
