Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted
What you actually play
Help Wanted is not simply one remake of the first night-shift game. The official descriptions frame it as a collection of classic and original mini-games: you repair ventilation, troubleshoot animatronics and manage the security office, then unlock more activities and collectibles at the interactive Prize Counter. Its “Pizza Party” material remakes scenes from Five Nights at Freddy’s, 2, 3, 4 and Sister Location. That mix makes it a useful first FNaF VR entry for someone who wants recognizable scenarios alongside new tasks, rather than a linear campaign. Steam’s official description and the Meta listing both describe the classic/original collection and name the returning characters and games.
Edition map: buy the version your hardware can run
- Meta Quest (native headset app): Meta lists Quest, Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3 and Quest 3S as supported platforms. This is the standalone Quest build, so the listed experience is installed on the headset rather than streamed from a PC. Meta describes standing and sitting modes and says an internet connection is not required; check the store page on your account before buying because platform availability and add-ons can change. The base listing separately shows Curse of Dreadbear as an add-on, so do not assume the Halloween content is included.
- Steam (Windows PCVR or flat play): Steam explicitly says a VR headset is not required: the PC edition can be played in flat/non-VR mode or VR. For VR, Steam lists SteamVR support and Oculus Rift and HTC Vive support. Its posted minimum is Windows 8, an Intel i5-4590 or AMD FX 8350, 8 GB RAM, GTX 970 or R9 390 graphics, and 11 GB storage; its recommended graphics are GTX 1070 or RX 590. These are the store’s stated requirements, not a promise of performance on every computer. A Quest used through PC streaming would still be running this PC edition on the computer, not the native Quest app. Steam also lists Curse of Dreadbear separately and offers a bundle.
- PS5 Full Time Edition + PSVR2: Sony’s Full Time Edition combines the original game with Curse of Dreadbear and says it contains over 50 mini-games. It offers VR and standard non-VR modes. The page labels PlayStation VR2 optional for the PS5 product, but Sony also says PSVR2 is required to experience its PSVR2 features; room-scale play needs a 2 m × 2 m (6 ft 7 in × 6 ft 7 in) area. This is a PS5 edition, not a native Quest or Steam install. Sony separately lists a PS4 edition, so verify the console generation and edition name before checkout.
Practical setup checks
Choose the storefront first, then check the exact product title and included content. For Quest, confirm the headset model shown on the Meta listing and whether you want the separately listed DLC. For Steam VR, budget for a Windows PC that meets the published minimum, SteamVR, and a supported headset path; a headset alone does not move the game off the computer. For PS5, confirm that you are buying Full Time Edition if you want Curse of Dreadbear included, and clear the required room-scale space before using PSVR2. If you only want the minigames on a monitor, Steam’s flat mode and PlayStation’s standard mode are the editions whose official pages explicitly document non-VR play; do not generalize that option to every storefront without checking its listing.
