Alien: Rogue Incursion

At a glance: Alien: Rogue Incursion is a single-player action-horror VR game from Survios. The official listings separate three ways to play: a native Quest version, a computer-based SteamVR version, and a PS5 version that requires PlayStation VR2. Last checked October 11, 2026.

What is Alien: Rogue Incursion?

This is an original story set in the universe of the Alien films. You play as Zula Hendricks, an ex-Colonial Marine investigating Weyland-Yutani or Gemini Exoplanet Solutions black-site activity on the uncharted planet Purdan (also identified in the official story description as LV-354). With synth companion Davis 01 providing guidance, Zula infiltrates the infested Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research facility while trying to survive its Xenomorph threat. That premise and character description come from the official publisher site and the Meta Quest store listing, rather than from a review.

The VR release is labelled Part One of a two-part story. The publisher says this installment stands alone as a complete story, while ending on a cliffhanger that leads into Zula's continuing story. That is a description of the story structure, not a claim about the availability or release date of a second game.

VR-specific features

Survios describes the game around physical, in-world interaction. Its official VR page lists a whole-body loadout: weapons can be holstered, ammunition grabbed, inventory accessed, and lights switched on through physical movements. It also describes opening doors, leaning around corners, and picking up objects as part of the gameplay. The same page says the Xenomorphs hunt through locations, crawl on walls and ceilings, use ducts and tunnels, and jump on objects in the environment.

The publisher also frames exploration as resource management: ammunition and health supplies are limited, so searching rooms, closets, and corners matters. These are advertised game features; VRHow has not independently tested controls, comfort, graphics, or performance. Meta's store page lists sitting, standing, and roomscale modes for the Quest listing, while PlayStation lists sitting, standing, and roomscale play styles for PS VR2.

Where it runs

Do not treat “Quest 3” on the publisher's buy page as proof that the Steam build is native Quest. The official Meta store page is the source for the standalone Quest listing; Steam is the source for the PC VR listing.

Standard and Deluxe editions

The publisher's VR buy page lists a Standard Edition containing the standard game. It also lists a Deluxe Edition containing the standard game, a blue camo armor skin, a blue camo weapon skin, and The Art of Alien: Rogue Incursion digital in-game artbook. The platform selector on that page links the VR product to Quest 3, PS VR2, and Steam VR. Edition contents can vary by storefront, so check the linked store page before purchasing; this article does not compare prices or make a value judgment.
