VR game updates and DLC: verified 2026 status

This page tracks documented content updates and downloadable content, not every new VR release. “Confirmed” means the publisher, platform holder or event organizer gave a dated availability statement. A future window is kept separate from a release, and a wishlist or trailer is not treated as a launch.

Short answer: The strongest verified 2026 update evidence is on Meta Quest: Beat the Beats and Augmental-Puzzles had updates described as available on June 23; Green Hell VR’s free building-and-painting update was described as live on August 14; and All On Board! announced free Virus content for August 20. Confirmed DLC evidence also includes Walkabout Mini Golf: Blokhaven (May 7, reported by UploadVR) and a Legendary Tales DLC launch (March 24, in the VR Games Showcase recap). Last checked October 11, 2026.

Dated evidence

June 23 — available updates on Quest. Meta’s official June VR Games Showcase recap says Augmental-Puzzles added nonogram puzzles and that the update was available that day; it also says Beat the Beats added custom tracks and user-created beat-punching levels and was available “right now.” Those statements establish Quest availability as described by Meta on June 23, but do not prove identical rollout timing on other platforms. June 23 — announced, not yet fully dated. The same Meta recap announced a free Attack on Titan pack for Maestro, with two new tracks and “more to come later this year.” It does not give a launch day or confirm every platform in the passage, so this is a planned content drop rather than a verified October 11 availability claim. Meta, “‘VR Games Showcase’ June 2026 Recap” (June 23, 2026).
August 14 — a live free update and a dated free add-on. Meta says Green Hell VR’s update added modular building and painting capabilities and was live at the time of its August recap. It separately says All On Board! would add the Virus board game to its library for free on August 20. “Live” is confirmed availability; the latter is a dated announcement in that source, not independent proof of a later store listing. Meta, “‘VR Games Showcase’ August 2026 Recap” (August 14, 2026).
May 7 — cross-platform course DLC (secondary confirmation). UploadVR reported on April 27 that Mighty Coconut’s 40th Walkabout Mini Golf course, Blokhaven, was coming May 7. Its dated May roundup lists the course for Quest, PC VR, PS VR2 and Pico, and also lists Samsung Galaxy XR and Apple’s app. This is reliable specialist reporting, not a primary developer release note; the report does not establish regional pricing or whether every platform launched simultaneously. UploadVR, “Walkabout Mini Golf Announces New Blokhaven DLC Coming On May 7” (April 27, 2026); UploadVR, “New VR Games And Releases May 2026” (May 5, updated May 6, 2026).
March 24 — DLC launch reported in the showcase recap. The VR Games Showcase’s March recap lists Legendary Tales as launching DLC on March 24 for PC VR and PS VR2. The page is the event organizer’s recap rather than a linked developer patch note, and it gives no DLC name, price or itemized content, so the date and platform scope should be treated as reported event information, not a complete product record. VR Games Showcase, “Everything Announced at VR Games Showcase Spring 2026” (March 26, 2026).

What this means for players

The evidence points to two different update patterns. Smaller Quest releases are being communicated as feature updates that can be live immediately—custom creation tools, new building systems or a free board-game addition—while paid or named DLC is more often announced with a date but fewer details. Platform language matters: a Quest blog can verify Meta’s own store context, but it cannot by itself prove a simultaneous SteamVR or PS VR2 patch. Before buying an add-on, check the game’s current store page and the developer’s latest patch notes for your platform; this is especially important where the source only says “coming,” “later this year,” or “live” without a version number.

Verification gaps: All dated events listed here had already passed by October 11, 2026; statements that content “was live” describe its status in the cited announcement, not a live check of today's game build. This is a researched snapshot, not a complete DLC database. The sources do not provide a single authoritative list of every patch, regional rollout, price, or post-launch change. We found no sufficiently dated primary release note for the Legendary Tales DLC or a firm launch confirmation for Maestro’s Attack on Titan pack by the checked date; both remain explicitly qualified above. Rumors, leaks, undated social posts and wishlist-only announcements were excluded.
