Immersed Visor: shipping status and announced specs

Short answer: Visor is a work-focused headset from Immersed, but it should still be treated as a developing hardware product rather than a broadly verified retail headset. On the official FAQ checked October 11, 2026, Immersed says Founder’s Edition Visors “have started shipping” and that Standard 4K mass production “start[s] shipping this winter.” The first statement is a company shipping-status claim; the second is a future promise, not proof of general consumer availability.

Status at a glance

DateWhat the evidence saysHow to read it
August 3, 2023Immersed announced Visor as a compact productivity headset; UploadVR reported the announced 4K-per-eye OLED microdisplay, inside-out tracking, HD color passthrough and Windows, Mac and Linux support.Announced design, not shipped-product verification.
January 25, 2024UploadVR reported the revised preorder structure and Immersed’s claim that first units would ship in mid-2024.A dated promise that did not establish delivery.
October 2024 and March 2025Road to VR records Immersed saying the hardware was largely complete, then saying Founder’s Edition fulfillment was “another month or two”; the latter wording was later softened.Schedule evidence shows slippage and changing language.
July 27, 2026Road to VR reported Immersed telling preorder customers it was locking in shipping timelines and would provide a production-ramp update the following month.Still a reported future update, not independent delivery evidence.
October 11, 2026The official FAQ says Founder’s Edition units have started shipping and Standard 4K mass production starts “this winter.”Current company claim; no quantity, completion rate or independent shipment sample is stated.

These entries are claims in Immersed’s October 11, 2026 shop and FAQ, not measurements from an independent review. The FAQ says the IPD range used for sizing is 55–72 mm, that the headset has no built-in speakers, and that prescription lens inserts are ordered separately. It also says Visor is intended to run Immersed natively and can connect to a laptop or work as a standalone browser. Those details describe the promised design and software model; they do not demonstrate final production quality, comfort, battery endurance or tracking reliability.

Price, preorder and availability

The current official shop, checked October 11, 2026, shows a Visor 4K Founder’s Edition option at $699.99 with Visor Plus. The same listing describes a $39.99-per-month membership for 24 months or $59.99 per month for 12 months, with taxes and shipping charged before delivery. These are the terms displayed on the live shop at the check date, not a historical launch price or a guarantee that the offer will remain unchanged. The page labels the product a Founder’s Edition; it does not state how many units have shipped or give a universal delivery date.

There is a material conflict between old expectations and current status. UploadVR’s January 25, 2024 report recorded Immersed’s mid-2024 shipping claim, while Road to VR’s July 27, 2026 report describes later schedule changes and a planned production-ramp update. The official FAQ now says Founder’s Edition shipping has begun, but neither the FAQ nor the shop establishes independent proof that ordinary buyers are receiving completed units at scale. Do not read “started shipping” as “in stock for immediate delivery.”

Firmware caveat

In Immersed’s official IRL follow-up update, the company says a live demonstration was canceled after unexpected 6DoF tracking issues and that it was still working through firmware integration and quality assurance. The update presents videos of the app running on a real device, but it does not substitute for an independent review or confirm that every production unit has passed QA. This is the clearest reason to keep announced specifications separate from shipped-product facts.

This page is a status guide, not a hands-on review. Confirm the live order terms, delivery window, taxes, shipping and refund conditions directly with Immersed before paying. For other verified headset pages, return to the VR headset directory.
