VR RPGs for Quest and PC
Selection method: included games are described as role-playing/RPGs by an official publisher or storefront, or document RPG systems such as character progression, skills, quests, classes, loot or crafting. Platform labels identify the specific edition: Meta Quest store version, Windows PC VR or PlayStation VR. Prices and add-on entitlements are not generalized; check each current store listing.
Selections
- Asgard’s Wrath 2 — Meta Quest store edition; Meta lists Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S and Quest Pro. Meta’s listing classifies it as role playing and calls it an action RPG, with a story across multiple realms, mortal heroes, combat styles, exploration and puzzles. The listing also says it is single-user and does not require an internet connection.
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR — Windows PC via SteamVR; separate PlayStation VR edition (not PSVR2 in the cited source). Bethesda’s official announcement identifies the PlayStation VR release and the later SteamVR version. It describes the core game, official add-ons, an explorable world, VR controls, magic and combat. Confirm the exact edition and PC requirements before purchase.
- Fallout 4 VR — Bethesda’s Windows PC VR edition. Bethesda identifies Fallout 4 VR as the core game brought to VR, with VR-reworked combat, crafting and building. Its official page also documents the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. character system, Perks, V.A.T.S., quests/world exploration and settlement building. This guide does not infer standalone Quest availability from that PC product page.
- Legendary Tales — Windows PC VR via Steam. The developer’s Steam page explicitly calls it a VR action role-playing game and documents loot, quests, skill-tree character growth, magic, crafting, randomly generated item attributes and up-to-four-player co-op. This entry describes the Steam PC edition; connection methods depend on the headset and supported setup.
- Legendary Tales (Quest version) — Meta Quest store edition; Meta lists Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S and Quest Pro. Meta’s current listing identifies the Quest version as role playing and describes deep progression, a skill tree, warrior/rogue/mage builds, loot, crafting, solo play and online co-op. It is a distinct Quest release from the PCVR listing above, so do not assume PC and Quest content or platform requirements are identical.
- Demeo — Meta Quest store edition; Meta lists Meta Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S and Quest Pro. Meta classifies Demeo as tabletop role playing and strategy. Its official description documents turn-based battles, dice, miniatures, classes, multiple adventures and cooperative play, making it a good choice for a tabletop-RPG style rather than a first-person open-world RPG. The listing marks it as multiplayer, single-user and co-op.
- Blade & Sorcery — Windows PC VR via Steam (SteamVR or Oculus PCVR listed). WarpFrog’s Steam listing labels the game VR-only and includes RPG among its genres. Its Crystal Hunt progression mode has 78 skills to unlock, alongside medieval fantasy melee, ranged and magic combat. This is distinct from the Quest-listed Blade & Sorcery: Nomad edition.
- Blade & Sorcery: Nomad — Meta Quest store edition; supported Quest headsets listed by Meta. Meta describes medieval fantasy melee/ranged/magic combat and physics-driven interactions. The page includes this as an adjacent combat/sandbox example, not as evidence of a full story-RPG progression system; it is a distinct edition from the Steam game above.
How to choose
Choose Asgard’s Wrath 2 for a Quest-store action RPG; Skyrim VR or Fallout 4 VR for Bethesda’s PC role-playing worlds; Legendary Tales for loot, builds and co-op; Demeo for turn-based tabletop play; Blade & Sorcery on Steam for its Crystal Hunt skill-unlock system; or Nomad for Quest-listed fantasy combat and sandbox interaction. The cited PC games are Windows PC VR editions. Check each linked listing and the headset maker’s guidance for a supported setup; this page makes no performance guarantee or connection-path claim.
Ratings and age labels can vary by region and storefront, so this guide does not treat them as universal age-suitability advice. Check the linked current listing before purchase.
Which kind of role-playing game do you mean?
The RPG label is broad in VR. Asgard’s Wrath 2 and Skyrim VR focus on large fantasy adventures; Fallout 4 VR adapts a post-apocalyptic role-playing world; Demeo is a turn-based, tabletop-style co-op campaign; Legendary Tales is a combat-focused action RPG; Blade & Sorcery is a physics-led sandbox with the separate Quest edition titled Nomad. Those differences matter more than an unqualified “best RPG” label.
Before choosing, ask whether you want a story campaign, party tactics, character builds or open-ended combat. Then check which release is listed for your headset. Blade & Sorcery on Steam and Meta’s Blade & Sorcery: Nomad listing are separate editions; this guide does not assert a particular Quest connection route.
Buying and setup checks
- Confirm whether the listing describes single-player, co-op or both. Meta classifies Demeo as Tabletop/Role playing/Strategy and lists multiplayer/co-op modes.
- Check official PC requirements for PCVR. Large RPG worlds can list substantial minimum hardware, but minimum specs are not an FPS or comfort guarantee.
- Separate base game from mods and expansions. This list covers the named VR edition; it does not promise that optional PC mods or DLC are included or compatible.
- Read the movement and play-position fields. Sitting, standing, room-scale, teleport and smooth locomotion are title- and edition-specific.
These are role-playing and RPG-adjacent experiences selected from official descriptions. The guide does not rank them by story quality or claim firsthand completion.
