VR games for lower-spec PCs: what the official requirements say

Short answer: start with the games below, but treat “low-end” as a requirements-screening label, not a promise that every PC will run them smoothly. Each entry is the PC version and includes the publisher or storefront’s stated minimum. Last checked October 11, 2026.

How this list was selected

This is a factual shortlist, not a performance ranking. I included titles with an official PC listing, explicit SteamVR or Oculus PC support, and published minimum requirements checked October 11, 2026; “lower-spec” compares published baselines, not test results. This guide covers Windows PC editions only; it does not assess native Quest games or any particular headset-to-PC connection method. Meeting a minimum is not a guarantee of frame rate, image quality, or comfort.

Games to check first

The store model varies: The Lab and Google Earth VR are listed as free; Beat Saber and the other paid titles require the relevant PC store purchase. Optional DLC and add-ons are not assessed here; check the linked listing for what the exact edition includes. No listed requirement predicts a particular frame rate.

Minimum requirements are a filter, not a performance promise

“Low-end PC” is not a standardized hardware category. This page compares only the minimum CPU, GPU, memory and VR-support details published on the official storefront or developer page for each listed game. A title with lower published minimum components may be a more plausible candidate to investigate, but that does not guarantee a stable frame rate, smooth headset experience or compatibility with every headset.

This guide compares published PC minimum requirements only. It does not assess native Quest editions, specific headset connection methods, or real-world performance on any reader’s PC.

Compare your own PC safely

No “runs great,” FPS, graphics-setting or performance ranking is claimed. The recommendations are a requirements-based shortlist, not benchmark results.

Will meeting minimum specs guarantee smooth VR?

No. The publisher’s minimums are the only verified hardware claims here. They do not guarantee frame rate, comfort or a specific experience on your setup.
