Best paid VR games

Short answer: these are paid VR releases with an official store listing and a clearly identified way to play them. The verified paid picks are native Meta Quest or Steam PCVR editions. The PSVR2 pages below confirm editions and requirements but did not expose paid/free status, so they are not counted as paid picks. Last checked October 11, 2026.

Selection method: included games have a current official publisher, developer, or platform-store page showing a purchase listing and VR availability. This is not a ranking, and prices are deliberately omitted because store prices and regional offers change. “Paid” means the base game or required VR content is sold; optional DLC, bundles, or in-game purchases are not treated as requirements unless the official listing says they are.

PSVR2 pages checked but not counted as paid picks

The inspected official PlayStation pages confirm these PS5/PSVR2 editions and hardware requirements, but their page content did not expose an explicit price or paid/free status. They are not classified as paid in this guide; check the current regional store page before buying.

Platform labels matter: a Quest-native game runs on the headset itself; a PCVR game needs a VR-capable computer and a connection method; a console VR game needs the specified PS5 and PlayStation VR2 hardware. Check the linked regional store page before buying because availability, editions, prices, and age ratings can vary by region.

Buy the right version, not only the right title

The paid picks span two paths: Batman: Arkham Shadow, Asgard’s Wrath 2 and the Quest edition of Resident Evil 4 are native Meta Quest apps; Half-Life: Alyx and Into the Radius VR are Steam PCVR editions. The separate PSVR2 links below confirm console-VR versions but are not counted as paid picks because paid status was not visible in the inspected pages. A Steam purchase does not install as a native Quest app, and a PlayStation listing does not establish Quest or PCVR support.

The clearest edition trap is Resident Evil Village VR Mode: the PSVR2 recommendation is a VR mode for the full PS5 game, not an independent Quest app. Confirm whether you already own the required base game and whether the VR mode is included or sold separately on the live PlayStation listing. Likewise, Resident Evil 4 on Quest and Resident Evil 4 Remake’s PSVR2 mode are distinct releases; do not transfer features or compatibility between them.

A practical purchase checklist

These recommendations are editorial selections from official developer, publisher or storefront descriptions, not hands-on reviews. Where a VR mode depends on a separately listed full game, the page calls that out rather than treating both purchases as interchangeable.
